Mike Slagle

Landscape Architect

As a registered landscape architect since 2017, Mike contributes his design expertise to the Sportworks Design group through site master planning and layout, hardscape and trail design, pedestrian amenity planning, and landscape design. He has worked on projects of all sizes and types. He especially enjoys seeing projects come to fruition through the construction process. Mike has been intimately involved in designing athletic facilities for FC Cincinnati, Indian Hill High School, Heritage Oak Park, Mason Municipal Aquatic Center, and many others.

Practicing for more than ten years, he has experience designing multi-purpose trails, and large-scale civil/transportation streetscape design. Mike also has design experience with athletic facilities, parks, and recreation, community master planning, permitting, and planned unit development zoning documents. He can successfully perform project management and construction administration for projects ranging in size from a 40,000-acre development to site-specific renovations. This skill is due to his being well-versed in AIA documentation, including payment applications, change orders and substantial completion closeout documentation. Mike also excels in facilitating stakeholder involvement initiatives for public projects, including public speaking engagements, web-based surveys, and stakeholder interviews.
