With civil engineering expertise and experience managing more than 200 outdoor athletic projects since 1991, Craig is a nationwide leader in sports design. He has served the industry on a national level for over a decade. Craig was a board member of the Synthetic Turf Council for two terms, the Treasurer and Vice-Chair, as well as chair and member of various committees. Currently, Craig is serving on the Board of Directors for the American Sports Builders Association.

His experience includes both synthetic and natural grass fields for football, baseball, softball, soccer, and recreation, in addition to tennis and basketball courts and synthetic tracks. Because of the number of projects he has completed, Craig has become a pioneer in several new practices that ensure field and court durability and longevity. He has been a featured speaker at numerous national conferences and seminars.  Notable ones include the Ohio State Extension Service Synthetic Turf Seminar, the 2016 Ohio Parks and Recreation Association Conference Trade Show, and American Sports Builders Association Technical Conference.

  1. What excites you about working on sport facility projects?
    Learning all the intricate rules that go along with each sport is fun. It is the details that you never think about…. Like is the height of the cross bar of a football goal post measured to the top of the bar, middle or bottom? And every site and every project are different, so there are always new challenges to think about and solve in the best way possible for our clients. Plus, you get to meet lots of great people with interesting stories!    
  2. What’s something you want to do in the next year that you’ve never done before?
    Hike to the Mount Everest Base Camp with my Daughter.
  3. What’s the best meal you’ve ever had?
    Rehearsal Dinner for my son’s wedding.
