Miamisburg, Ohio
Sycamore Trails Park, Miamisburg’s largest public green space, was transformed to unify its previously disconnected north and south sections and revitalize outdated amenities including aging athletics areas. Our team led master planning, civil engineering, and landscape architecture services to create a cohesive 75-acre recreational destination that better serves the community.
The redesigned park balances active recreation with natural experiences. The southern portion now functions as a sports hub, featuring basketball, pickleball, and tennis courts, a fitness playground, a timed 40-yard dash, and flexible event space, along with a relocated entry and parking area to improve safety. The northern portion highlights the park’s natural character with a nature-themed playground, shelter, fishing pond, loop trail, and a redesigned disc golf course that navigates varied terrain and creek crossings.
Accessible multi-use trails connect the entire park, linking amenities while preserving sensitive environmental features. The revitalized park is now a regional sports tournament destination, as well as a local gathering space.
