Kevin C. Barnhill Championship Field at Testerman Park
Warren County, Ohio
As reported in a press release by The Cincinnati Reds, The Warren County Foundation partnered with MSA Architects and Sportworks Field Design to design the Kevin C. Barnhill Championship Field at Testerman Park. Features include continuous fencing around the field’s perimeter, enclosed dugouts and bullpens, an electronic outfield scoreboard, a concourse area with stadium-style bleachers and a press box, and a memorial plaza dedicated to Kevin Barnhill and those who have contributed to the project.
The Warren County Foundation, administrator of the Kevin C. Barnhill Memorial Fund, was awarded a grant from Major League Baseball’s Baseball Tomorrow Fund to support the construction of the Kevin C. Barnhill Championship Field at Testerman Park.
The Kevin C. Barnhill Championship Field is the signature baseball and softball facility for the greater Hamilton Township area (located northeast of Cincinnati) and services over 1,000 area youth participating in the Warren County Little League and Knothole youth programs.
“This is a wonderful opportunity, not only for our parks department, but for the children who play the game,” said Michael Munoz, Hamilton Township trustee. “We are truly pleased that the Baseball Tomorrow Fund and the Reds Community Fund have partnered with the Kevin C. Barnhill Memorial Fund to certify the importance of community outreach in providing quality, ultra safe athletic facilities for our children.”
