Sportworks Field Design is pleased to announce that Kayleigh Hammond recently joined The Kleingers Group’s division which focuses on a variety of sports design and engineering. Kayleigh joins the growing sports engineering division and will work in our West Chester, Ohio location alongside Craig Honkomp and Brad D’Agnillo.

As part of her role, Kayleigh will support a strong team of sport engineering experts. Kayleigh has worked with the Sportworks team through several co-op terms. This co-op experience provided her the opportunity to work on several sport engineering projects, including the new Xenia Community Schools synthetic track, Batavia Schools tennis facility and Warren County Sports Complex.

“Adding Kayleigh to our team gives us an opportunity to increase our bench depth and continue growing our portfolio across the region,” says Craig.

Kayleigh was voted onto the American Society for Civil Engineers (ASCE) Cincinnati Section Board as Secretary in May. ASCE holds monthly meetings where professionals can earn PD hours. They also hold events where students and professionals can network with civil engineers within the industry, including geotechnical, structural, transportation, construction and many others. Kayleigh previously held the position as the University of Cincinnati’s ASCE Student Chapter President and was involved in the chapter for over 3 years. Kayleigh recently graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and is working to achieve her EIT status.

When asked why she chose to start her career with Sportworks, Kayleigh responded,

“Sports were a big part of my life growing up, combined with my love for civil engineering design it seemed like the ideal opportunity for me.” She continued with, “In my time at Sportworks, prior to graduation, I have learned so much. Craig and Brad are great mentors in the world of sports engineering.”

Kayleigh’s love for engineering came from their father, who is also an engineer. Good with both science and math, her father encouraged her to pursue a career in engineering. Through her experience at Sportworks Field Design, Kayleigh discovered how to blend her passion for sports with her love of engineering.

Kayleigh remains active in her sorority and also enjoys spending time with her younger sisters, who also attend UC for engineering.
