Sportworks Design worked with MSA Design on the renovation of the Miami University’s Women’s Varsity Soccer Complex. It includes a new, sharp stadium entrance and plaza for fans, a new bleacher structure, and a makeover to the existing pressbox. The stadium’s new entrance incorporates a decorative metal fence with small brick columns that match the rest of the campus’s architecture. It was essential to make the plaza and entrance ADA accessible from the surrounding athletic campus. This feature now connects the complex to Yager Stadium and unifies the athletic complex at the university.
The project also includes widening the existing driveway, adding additional parking, and new concrete pads for team benches. Storm sewer structures and pipes were designed and installed to capture any water from the plaza area.
