Ohio University Chessa Field
Ohio University’s women’s soccer field had several problems, including undulations in the field of play, failure to drain, and an infestation of Poa Annua bluegrass. Sportworks provided civil engineering and landscape architecture services to renovate the field and provide long-term solutions to these issues. The design included removing the existing sod, installing new drainage, providing a sand cap layer, laser grading the field, and topping it with sand-grown sod.
Sportworks worked closely with the University to meet a tight schedule so that the synthetic turf field was ready for the 2015 soccer season.
